About me and my therapy practice
For 16 years I have been a full time Psychotherapist, Family Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, author, NVR parenting programme lead and app designer, and an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a member of the AFT (Association for Family Therapy). I base my practice on working with the internal world of the client, to facilitate personal growth, change and reaching their goals. I am able to adapt my knowledge of different theoretical approaches to meet each client's presenting issues. Together, client and therapist can identify the triggers to negative thoughts, unhelpful narratives and relationship or family cycles that may be affecting the here and now. I believe in understanding what motivates our behaviour, rather than treating it without understanding why it manifested in the first place. My systemic training enables me to work with family based issues, both past and present.
My face to face work is based in Dulwich, and I also work online. I keep my therapeutic knowledge up to date, evolving with the world around me.
I have taught counselling students in the first year of their training, and I now privately supervise trainees and therapists in private practice. I am a published author, and you can find my papers on the BACP website and in the AFT's Context magazine. I supervise a number of charities and schools offering mental health support.
As a therapist I have experience in working with;
· Self-Harm
· Anxiety
· Culture
. Couples

About me and my therapy practice
When setting up in private practice there is a lot to think about, insurance, room hire, what to charge, how to handle cancellations, building a website, getting listed in the right directories, finding the right accountant, where to get CPD, the list is endless.
Then there is the emotional and ethical stuff that matters just as much. How do you set boundaries when there is no organisation backing you up? How do you cope when a client disappears without paying? What do you do when you have not had a referral in three weeks and you start wondering if you made a terrible mistake?
I can help with all of it. Not because I have a neat formula, but because I have lived it and I have watched dozens of therapists navigate it. You do not need to figure it out on your own.
A Bit About Me
I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist, family practitioner, therapeutic supervisor and NVR practitioner and App developer. I hold membership with AFT, ACAMH, NVR and BICA. I have published papers for BACP, Inside Time and in the AFT Context magazine. Over the years I have held supervision contracts with local authorities and charities, supervised trainees from several training schools, and delivered CPCAB counselling courses. I have been a tutor, a clinician, and a supervisor, sometimes all in the same week.
if you want someone who will genuinely engage with your work, push you when you need pushing, support you when you need holding, and occasionally make you laugh when it has all been a bit much, then we should talk.
I work with therapists in private practice, charities, schools and local authority settings. I welcome all modalities. Supervision is available online and in person.
