I am currently taking new individual clients and couples for relationship therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

I hold a degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, and a degree in Midwifery. I am currently completing an MSc in Midwifery and work as a midwifery lecturer. Alongside this, I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and an NMC-registered midwife, bringing over 25 years of combined training and professional experience to my work.

My core approach is person-centred, offering a warm, active listening space that is neutral, non-judgemental, and compassionate. I believe healing happens when people feel truly heard and safely held. I tailor therapy to each individual, couple, or family, recognising that every experience and story is unique.

In addition to person-centred counselling, I am trained in CBT-informed approaches, Rewind Therapy for birth trauma, hypnobirthing, couples and relationship therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and group work. This allows me to integrate different therapeutic tools depending on your needs, while always maintaining a collaborative and respectful therapeutic relationship.

I offer individual counselling, trauma therapy, specialised antenatal and postnatal education, grief therapy (including baby and pregnancy loss and compassionate termination), and couples therapy. My dual background in counselling and midwifery gives me particular insight into the emotional and clinical aspects of maternity experiences.

I also provide hypnobirthing education, tailored to your individual journey to parenthood. Sessions are available one-to-one or in groups, online or in person, and are designed to support confidence, calm, and informed choice.

My aim is to support you to heal, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Practice description

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are among the most common and distressing emotions we experience. They can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself and others. Through counselling, we work together to understand the roots of these feelings, develop healthier coping strategies, and help you regain a sense of stability, self-awareness, and emotional balance.

Trauma & PTSD

Traumatic experiences can leave lasting emotional and physical effects, including anxiety, fear, intrusive memories, and hopelessness. I offer trauma-informed therapy to help you process and gently work through painful experiences at your own pace. As a midwife, I have specialist expertise in supporting those affected by traumatic pregnancy or birth experiences, using approaches such as Rewind therapy where appropriate.

Grief & Baby Loss

My work as a midwife has placed me alongside families in both profound joy and devastating loss. I provide compassionate bereavement support for individuals and couples navigating miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, and compassionate termination. Grief is deeply personal, and I offer a safe space for you to process it without judgement.

Eating Disorders

I have supported many individuals experiencing or recovering from eating disorders. Within the perinatal period, I also raise awareness of how eating disorders can affect pregnancy and early parenthood, offering sensitive, informed therapeutic support.

Perinatal Support

With combined experience as a practising midwife and counsellor, I offer highly specialised therapy for perinatal issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, feeding challenges, fertility difficulties, and relationship strain.

Online Services

I offer online sessions via Zoom, providing flexible, confidential support for individuals and couples from the comfort of your own home.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel daunting. You may be unsure what to say, worried about being judged, or uncertain whether counselling is right for you. It’s completely normal to feel this way.

I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute online consultation. This is a gentle first step where we can discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with, and what you hope might change. There is no pressure to commit -it’s simply an opportunity to see whether we feel like the right fit for one another.

During this session, I will explain how I work, outline confidentiality and its limits, and answer any questions you may have about the process. We can also discuss practical details such as session frequency, availability, and fees.

If you choose to continue, therapy will move at a pace that feels safe for you. Some sessions may focus on understanding your current difficulties; others may gently explore past experiences or patterns. You are always in control of what you share. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and supported.

Over time, therapy can help you gain clarity, develop coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and feel more connected -to yourself and, where relevant, to your partner or family.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. We will make sense of it together.
