About me and my therapy practice

You've always been the one others turn to: reliable, caring, "the strong one." But lately anxiety, overthinking and emotional exhaustion have become constant companions.  Do you find that you are overthinking everything? Can't say no without feeling guilty?

I help women break free from anxiety related to relationships patterns that are rooted in family dynamics so they can build calm and confident connections.

I can help you heal old family wounds, feel grounded in your boundaries, trust your instincts and listen to your intuition.

I'm Bea, an accredited counsellor and systemic family practitioner offering online therapy to adults, couples and families across the UK. I help women untangle anxiety rooted in relationship patterns and family dynamics, so they can feel calmer, set boundaries without guilt, trust their instincts and build more confident connections.

I also work with couples, parents and families. I have many years' experience as a school counsellor with children and young people, including with Child in Time, Relate and Place2Be.

My approach is warm and person-centred, and you set the pace. I also draw on systemic family practice, so we can look at how family patterns, culture and expectations have shaped you. If your cultural background matters to your therapy, you are welcome to bring it.

All sessions are online via Google Meet. Please visit my website, www.reflectivedawncounselling.co.uk, for more about my experience and qualifications.

Practice description

Individual Counselling

£80 for 50 minutes

Couples Counselling and Relationship Counselling

Relationships can be a great source of joy, pleasure and companionship, however, challenges and pressures from within and outside the relationship can put significant strain on the couple.  Dysfunctional patterns of behaviour can be worked through.  Couples and relationship counselling helps improve empathy, understanding and communication to create healthier relationships.  Sometimes our work may be about creating healthier boundaries or finding a way to end a relationship respectfully.  Couples counselling provides an opportunity to learn to communicate better and resolve conflict.

£95 - 50 minutes

£190 - 90 minutes

Family Counselling

Family Counselling can make a different if your family is going through a tough time with stresses from inside or outside the family.  Family counselling provides an opportunity to highlight your strengths, use them to your advantage and help you find ways to learn to communicate and function better.

Families do their best to be a resource to each other but sometimes the solutions we try form part of the problem and we can get stuck.  Family counselling can be attended to address a broad range of issues including issues that individual counselling may be attended for.  You may wish to attend family counselling to address issues that are traditionally considered to be individual issues (e.g. depression, self harm etc) and you may use family sessions to work through changes in family life.

Family Counselling is usually short term 12-24 sessions.
