About me and my therapy practice

The majority of my therapy work is held in person within my home office in Heybridge and a Counselling space in the heart of Maldon's High street in Essex. I can offer a hybrid approach (face to face and online video call sessions) or telephone counselling whichever suits my client best.

I will work at your pace, ensuring your specific needs are at the heart of the therapy work, creating a safe and supportive space where feelings, thoughts, and experiences can be explored and validated without judgement.

Depending on your individual issues you are bringing to therapy, I can offer creative materials when it feels difficult to put into words how you are feeling and to explore deeply rooted experiences in a gentle symbolic way where I help clients to process their image.

I can also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you understand patterns of thinking and behaviour and develop practical ways of managing difficult emotions.

Our work together will be collaborative, flexible and tailored to you. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before we begin—we can take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Practice description

I offer a person-centred approach throughout my sessions, where at the heart of our work, we focus on what feels important to you.

I will work at your pace, creating a safe and supportive space where you feel able to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement. Our work together will be collaborative, flexible and tailored to you. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before we begin—we can take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My first session

Following our free 20-minute initial consultation via video call, we can explore the issues you would like to focus on and collaboratively create a plan to support you in making the changes in your life that feel right for you.

Depending on your individual needs and preferences, I can offer creative materials when it feels difficult to put into words how you are feeling and to explore deeply rooted experiences in a gentle symbolic way where I help clients to process their image.

I can also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help you understand patterns of thinking and behaviour and develop practical ways of managing difficult emotions.

I suggest that all new clients review our work together at the third session. This gives us an opportunity to reflect on how you are finding the sessions, what feels helpful, and whether we are focusing on the areas that are most important to you.

It is also a chance for us to discuss your progress and make any changes to our approach or goals, ensuring that the counselling continues to feel supportive and right for you. I offer blocks of six sessions at a time which can be extended every 6 sessions.
