About me and my therapy practice

I believe therapy should be a space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted for who you are. I offer a warm, confidential and respectful space where we can take the time to understand what is happening for you, without judgement or pressure. For me, the relationship between therapist and client is central to good therapy — feeling safe enough to be honest and explore the things that may be difficult to talk about elsewhere.

I am a Senior Accredited BACP therapist with over 13 years' experience working in both the NHS and private practice. I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor, EMDR Therapist and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT), I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches and adapting the way I work to suit you as an individual.

I work with adults and young people aged 16+, including the neurodiverse community. I recognise that experiences of ADHD, autism and other forms of neurodivergence can affect the way we experience ourselves, relationships, emotions and the world around us. My approach is not about trying to make you fit a particular idea of how you "should" be, but about understanding how you experience the world and what works for you.

I also work extensively with LGBTQ+ clients and am Gender, Sexual & Relationship Diversity (GSRD) affirmative in my practice. Whether you are exploring identity, relationships, sexuality or gender, or simply want a therapist with whom you don't have to explain or justify who you are, you are very welcome.

I work online only, offering therapy to clients in London and throughout the UK. Online therapy can provide the flexibility and privacy of having your sessions from a place where you feel comfortable, without the need to travel.

I offer a free 20–25 minute initial consultation so that we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and see whether I might be the right therapist for you.

I am also a BUPA approved provider.

Best wishes,

Steve
