About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Louise. My work centres on calm, clarity and confidence.

I offer a steady, emotionally safe space where adults can slow down, breathe, and speak freely without pressure or judgement.

Many of the people I support are navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, stress, burnout or long term overwhelm. Some have spent years masking or feeling misunderstood; others simply want to reconnect with themselves and live with more ease.

I blend counselling with trauma informed, neurodiversity affirming practice. I pay close attention to the nervous system, to the places where life has felt tight or confusing, and to the stories people carry about themselves. When someone is given enough space and time to talk — and to be genuinely heard — they often begin to discover their own way forward. My role is to listen deeply, reflect thoughtfully, and support that emerging clarity.

Sessions move at your pace. We might explore emotional regulation, self esteem, relationships, or the impact of late diagnosis. We might gently untangle old narratives, strengthen boundaries, or make sense of experiences that have felt overwhelming. I don’t offer prescriptive strategies or expect you to “get it right”; instead, I help you understand yourself more fully so that any strategies we develop together genuinely fit you and help you feel empowered.

Clients often describe my approach as warm, steady and easy to talk to — a place where they can stop being on guard, feel understood, and begin to trust their own voice and direction.

Practice description

My practice is built on the belief that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. Every person arrives with their own history, nervous system, needs and pace, so I tailor each session to what works for you. I see you as the expert in your own brain; my role is to help you access that expertise, make sense of what’s happening inside, and find a way forward that genuinely fits.

I work session by session rather than offering block bookings. Some people come for one or two sessions to download everything to someone outside their situation; others find that 8–10 sessions help them move through a particular chapter; and some prefer ongoing or occasional support. We decide together, as we go, based on what feels right for you.

As a late diagnosed autistic ADHDer with sensory sensitivity, I understand how important comfort and flexibility are. My therapy room is designed with this in mind: dimmable lighting, fans and fidget tools are available if you want them. I usually wear precision tinted lenses myself and if you want to wear noise-cancelling headphones - that is fine too! There is plenty of space to move around or take movement breaks, and you’re welcome to sit, stand, pace, or settle however your body needs.

Alongside counselling, I am a Certified ADHD Informed Coach and an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner. This means I can draw from different modalities when helpful — whether that’s exploring emotions, understanding patterns, supporting regulation, or using gentle EFT techniques to ease overwhelm. Nothing is prescriptive; everything is collaborative.

Clients often tell me they appreciate the steadiness, spaciousness and lack of pressure in our work — a place where they don’t have to be “on guard,” where they can think out loud, feel understood, and begin to trust their own voice and direction.
