I currently have a couple of sessions free and am available for face to face sessions centrally in Brighton on Monday's Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I only work online Thursdays and Fridays and typically take my annual leave over the Christmas period when it's generally quieter.

About me and my therapy practice

I have over 10,000 client hours over 20 years as a humanistic integrative therapist working near central Brighton. I'm relaxed and supportive and work with most circumstances, though often around anxiety, relationships and trauma. I also offer preparation and integration sessions surrounding alternative approaches. I think the easiest way to find the right therapist is for you to speak to a few and decide once you find the one who feels right.

So, I do not charge for an initial assessment session which gives you a chance to see if you are comfortable with me. My fees are negotiable depending on circumstances and concessions. Please call or email and we can set up a meeting, either face to face or online and you can see how you feel talking to me before you make any decision.

Practice description

If you decide to start with me, I will be the person who metaphorically stands beside you and helps you to understand and work through whatever you are experiencing. I am open, accepting and, I'm told, very supportive and easy to communicate with. The safe space that we build between us will give you a place to explore and unpick what you are experiencing, with the goal of providing lasting relief.

Regularity is the key to progress so we will usually meet weekly until you want to stop. We work together for as long as you want to. You are in control. Finally, everything we discuss is of course entirely confidential.

The easiest way to see if I'm right for you is to book an initial free unpressured assessment where you can see how you feel, ask questions and explore a little of what might be possible. Then you decide if you want to work with me in your own time and if so, get in touch to set something up.

My first session

Our first session is at no charge to you and gives you a chance to meet me and see how you feel working with me. We'll talk about your situation and maybe start to understand what the work really consists of. We are creating a roough map of where you are so I can start to understand how I might help. I'll also explain what working with me means, my contract so you are entering with your eyes open. Then I generally suggest you spend a couple of days deciding if we're a good fit and if so you contact me and we book some sessions in.
