About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist offering one-to-one sessions via zoom or telephone.
I trained at the University of Leeds where I gained an MA with distinction in Psychotherapy and Counselling and since then have worked in various settings including clouding the NHS. I have had my own private practice for the past 12 years.
Practice description
I work integratively which means I am trained in a range of theories and approaches which I can draw on to provide support which is meaningful and helpful to you as an individual. However, more important than the theories, is the development of the bond between the two of us within the safety of the therapeutic space.
I look to offer you a safe, non- judgemental space where you can begin to explore your difficulties and find a way forward. I will use all my years of experience to be active and supportive in this process, but you will find that the changes you make will come from within yourself, as this is where healing and lasting change really happen.
My first session
At our first introductory session, it will just be about getting to know each other, so that you can decide for yourself if counselling is right for you and if I feel like the right person to help you.
