About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified humanistic counsellor, with experience in many areas of counselling including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression and relationship issues.
I am here to walk beside you, giving gentle support as you come to understand how you see yourself and the world around you. I truly believe that you are the expert when it comes to your own feelings, and my hope is to create a warm, welcoming space online where you feel completely accepted and understood. You are free to share anything that might be troubling you, without fear or judgement, knowing that your thoughts and feelings will be met with genuine care. By working together in this way, we can gently explore your experiences, how you feel about your life as it is now, and any changes you wish to see in the future.
My approach is person-centred, supporting you to understand how you see yourself and the world around you. I believe that only you have the expertise to understand your feelings, and I hope to create a safe space in which you can feel accepted and understood and talk about anything that may concern you without judgement or fear. By working in this way, we are able to explore how you feel about your life currently, and how you would like it to be.

How I Work
Whilst my core approach is humanistic and person-centred, I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and tools where these may be helpful to you. This might include practical strategies for managing anxiety, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, or developing coping skills for day-to-day life. I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs, so that our work together feels right for you.
I offer counselling sessions both face-to-face and online, making therapy accessible whether you are in Sheerness, Minster-on-Sea, Sittingbourne, or anywhere in the surrounding area.
EMDR Therapy for Trauma & PTSD
For those affected by trauma or PTSD, I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy — an evidence-based treatment recognised by the NHS and NICE guidelines. EMDR can help you process distressing experiences and move forward with your life. Please note that EMDR sessions are available face-to-face only.
As a BACP accredited counsellor serving the Isle of Sheppey, Sheerness, Minster-on-Sea, and Sittingbourne, I am committed to working ethically and professionally at all times, in accordance with the BACP ethical framework. I will listen carefully and empathetically, respect your independence and individuality, and work with you at your own pace.
Everything discussed in our sessions remains strictly confidential. I will not share the content of our sessions with others, advise you on how to live your life, or make judgements about your choices.
If you are searching for a counsellor in Sheerness, Minster-on-Sea, Sittingbourne, or anywhere on the Isle of Sheppey, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about counselling or how I work.
