About me and my therapy practice
I am a humanistic-integrative counsellor.
I work from the belief that the more helpful question is, "What happened to you?" rather than, "What's wrong with you?" My approach focuses on the individual, their personal history, and their unique life experiences, rather than on diagnosis or labels.
I bring years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Curiosity, mindfulness, compassion, and deep respect for each person are at the heart of my therapeutic practice. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
My work is informed by a range of therapeutic approaches, including Transactional Analysis, Polyvagal Theory, Systemic Therapy, psychodynamic theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Integrating these perspectives allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs, drawing on different approaches depending on what feels most relevant and helpful at any given moment.
I believe that every person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Our work together will be guided by what matters most to you, with each session focusing on your needs, your goals, and what feels important for you at that time.
Practice description
I understand that one of the hardest steps is recognising that you need support and reaching out to someone. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness; it is an act of courage and a commitment to your own wellbeing.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, lost, or disconnected. Grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, loneliness, communication difficulties, and challenges in building or maintaining relationships can affect anyone, regardless of age or life experience.
I often work with people who feel they have lost the ability to connect with others, to experience closeness, or to find compassion, curiosity, or enjoyment in the people and world around them. These experiences can lead to isolation, depression, feelings of guilt, or anger directed towards oneself or others.
I offer a calm, warm, and confidential space where you can speak openly without fear of judgement. My role is to listen with empathy, support you in exploring your experiences, and work alongside you to better understand yourself and the challenges you are facing.
I provide counselling in both English and Polish. If you feel ready to take the next step, or if you know someone who may benefit from support, I warmly invite you to get in touch and arrange an initial consultation.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor can be daunting, and it's important to have the opportunity to meet for an introductory session before making a full commitment.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, during which I can tell you more about myself and my practice. It also gives you the chance to share what's important to you, what has brought you to counselling, and what you would like to focus on during our work together.
