Availability
To help you balance therapy with your daily commitments, I provide flexible scheduling options throughout the week:
• Days Available: I offer both daytime and evening appointments, Monday to Thursday.
• Session Frequency: Sessions are ideally initially held weekly at the same agreed time, so you have a consistent, dependable space. (For couples, sessions can also be arranged on a fortnightly basis).
• Session Length: Each individual session lasts for 50 minutes, and 1 hour for couples.
• Duration of Therapy: I offer both short-term counselling (typically 6–8 weeks) for specific, immediate challenges, as well as open-ended, long-term counselling for deeper therapeutic work.
Please note that my calendar has built-in flexibility, including the occasional availability for weekend couples sessions. If you are looking for a specific day or time that fits your lifestyle, please reach out to me directly and I will do my best to accommodate.
About me and my therapy practice
Welcome
I am an accredited integrative counsellor and a systemic practitioner (having completed intermediate-level systemic training).
I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy; instead, I place our relationship at the heart of our work. I focus on building a safe, genuine connection where you can feel truly heard and understood.
My practice is deeply informed by systemic training. This means we won't just look at your thoughts, feelings, and struggles in isolation. We will also explore how you are impacted by your relationships, family dynamics, and the wider world around you.
Specialist Areas of Grief and Loss
Grief can take many forms, and I am passionate about supporting people through profound losses that society sometimes fails to fully understand or validate. I hold specialist qualifications in two distinct areas:
• Infant Loss: Accredited training with the Foundation for Infant Loss to support individuals and couples navigating the heart-breaking reality of pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death.
• Pet Bereavement: A specialist diploma to support those grieving the loss of a companion animal, recognising that the bond we share with our pets is a vital and deeply meaningful part of our emotional lives.
Whether you are looking to understand long-standing patterns or need a gentle, reparative space to carry deep grief, we will work at a pace that feels safe for you.
Practice description
My Practice Setting
I run my private practice from a quiet, confidential, and comfortable dedicated room in Sunbury. The setting is designed to offer a peaceful environment away from the pressures of daily life, ensuring complete privacy for both individuals and couples.
Accessibility & Location
My practice is easily accessible with local transport links (Sunbury station, buses 290 or 235) and free street parking. I offer flexible appointment times from Monday to Thursday, including daytime slots and evening options tailored for those balancing work or childcare commitments.
What to Expect from Our Initial Meeting
Taking the first step can feel daunting, which is why I offer an initial 50-minute introductory meeting at a reduced rate of £40. This session carries no obligation to commit to ongoing therapy. It is simply an opportunity to discuss what you are facing, explore how we might work together, and ensure that my approach is the right match for your needs. It is also a completely pressure-free space for you to ask any questions you might have about how I work.
How We Will Work Together
If we choose to move forward, individual sessions are typically held weekly for 50 minutes, and we will always move forward at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. Because I recognise that relationship sessions have different practical needs, my couple’s sessions are 60 minutes long and can be flexibly scheduled on a fortnightly basis, including occasional weekend availability.
I offer both short-term focused support (6–8 weeks) and open-ended, long-term psychotherapy.
My first session
Our first session is an initial 50-minute meeting designed to see if counselling feels like the right fit for you at this time, with absolutely no obligation to commit to ongoing therapy.
This session is a little different from subsequent therapy sessions. Together, we will have a gentle conversation about what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from the process. I will ask a few collaborative questions to help assess your current needs and figure out the best way to support you moving forward. It is also a completely pressure-free opportunity for you to ask me any questions about how I work.
Because this is not a full therapeutic session, I offer this initial meeting at a reduced fee of £40.
