About me and my therapy practice

I’m Suzanne, a fully qualified and accredited integrative counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting both adults and children. My work draws on a blend of therapeutic approaches, shaped by a deep understanding of human development, relationships and the unique ways we each experience life, including the diverse ways neurodivergent people process and express their inner world.

I offer counselling face‑to‑face in my private therapy room at the end of my garden, as well as online or by phone. My aim is to provide a warm, safe and non‑judgemental space where you can explore what’s happening in your life, develop insight, and move towards meaningful change. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you, recognising that no single approach can fully describe the complexity of who we are or who we can become.

I strive to make therapy accessible to everyone and am happy to offer a limited number of  reduced‑fee slots for students or those experiencing financial difficulties.

My fees are £60 for children and young people, £70 for adults, and £80 for an assessment session. I am also registered with Bupa, AXA, Aviva and Vitality Health Insurance. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or looking to understand yourself more deeply, I offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and feel heard.

Practice description

As a counsellor, I offer both time‑limited therapy and open‑ended work, depending on what feels most appropriate for your needs. With adults, my therapeutic approach centres on listening, understanding, exploration and support. Together we can reflect on your experiences and gently unravel thoughts and feelings that may leave you feeling stuck, confused, distressed or overwhelmed. Therapy can help you view immediate issues in a new light, but above all, I aim to provide a unique space where you can share your innermost concerns in an environment that is safe, supportive and fully confidential.

With many years of experience working with children and young people, I am able to work creatively through imaginative play. This approach allows me to connect with a child’s inner emotional world and helps them express themselves both physically and emotionally. It is also particularly supportive for neurodivergent children, who may communicate or process emotions differently and benefit from creative, sensory or play‑based therapeutic methods.

I feel humbled and privileged to offer a safe, confidential counselling service to adults, children and young people. My aim is to create a space where true feelings can be explored without judgement, providing a strong foundation from which healing, growth and positive change can emerge. I am committed to supporting each person — neurotypical or neurodivergent — in moving towards a more grounded, hopeful and fulfilling future.

My first session

If you would like to explore whether counselling feels right for you, I offer a free 15‑minute telephone conversation. You can contact me directly on 07926 719329 to arrange this. It gives us a chance to talk briefly about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process.

If you decide to continue, I will book an assessment session of up to 75 minutes. During this session, we explore your current concerns, some background information, and what you would like to achieve from therapy. I welcome clients of all neurotypes and can adapt the assessment process to ensure it feels comfortable and accessible.

Ongoing sessions are 45 minutes for children and young people and 50 minutes for adults. My aim is to make the first steps into counselling feel clear, supportive and comfortable.
