About me and my therapy practice

Hi and welcome. I specialise in supporting women with miscarriage, fertility issues, IVF, & infertility. Alongside my professional expertise, I have personal lived experience of these issues.

Having experienced miscarriage, and lived through the fertility journey and IVF myself, I know first hand how difficult and painful these things can be - and how they can impact every area of your life.

Miscarriage & Baby Loss

Miscarriage can be  incredibly painful and lonely. The emotional impact can be multi-layered, including grief, shock, guilt, anger, and a sense that your world has shifted in ways you didn’t expect.

You might be navigating physical recovery and possible trauma, alongside the deeply painful grief of the baby you have lost and the life you had imagined with them in it. For some women, miscarriage also brings questions about identity, fears about the future, and strain on relationships or intimacy.

Therapy offers a supportive space to process what has happened, explore the impact, and find your footing again. It’s not about moving on, but it’s about honouring and acknowledging your loss, so you can gradually learn to integrate it into your life.

Fertility Challenges, IVF, and Infertility

The fertility journey is one of the most emotionally challenging experiences a woman can face. It can affect every part of life: your sense of identity, your relationships, your confidence, your mental health, and your hopes for the future.

I support women through all stages of the fertility journey, including:

  • Difficulties conceiving naturally
  • IVF, IUI, ICSI and other treatments
  • Pregnancy after loss
  • Using donor eggs, sperm or embryos
  • Navigating uncertainty and waiting
  • Learning to cope with the simultaneous pain of hope and loss
  • Coming to terms with the possibility, or reality, of not becoming a mother

Undertaking therapy with someone who actually understands first hand what its like to experience fertility challenges, can help you feel seen, understood and supported deeply.

My Approach

In my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I lead with warmth, empathy and a down‑to‑earth perspective. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and human - a space where you can be yourself without feeling judged, analysed or talked down to.

My approach is grounded, practical and emotionally attuned. I’m not here to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you and support you, as together we make sense of what you’re going through.

About me and my therapy practice

My Approach

My approach as a therapist is warm, compassionate and down to earth. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and human - a space where you can be yourself without feeling judged, analysed or talked down to.

My role isn't to fix you, but to be alongside you, supporting you and helping you navigate the complexity of what you are dealing with.

Whatever stage you are at in your IVF and infertility journey, I would like to support you if I can.

Having been through IVF and infertility myself personally, I also understand what you are going through from both a personal and a professional perspective.

I think this really helps clients to feel supported and less alone, as IVF and infertility are the kind of experiences that people don't tend to understand unless they have been through it themselves.

Practice description

Specialist therapy for IVF and infertility

I am a therapist who supports women with all aspects of IVF and infertility.

I know how difficult and challenging IVF can be, and how much of an impact it can have on your life. I also know how lonely and isolating it can be - as other people can't really understand unless they have experienced it.

I am committed to supporting women navigating IVF and infertility because I have experienced it personally.

I had a long infertility journey which included many rounds of IVF, donor eggs, and a number of miscarriages. It was the hardest thing I have been through in my life and affected me profoundly. That is what made me want to specialise in supporting other women who are facing these issues.

I know that therapy can't magic away what you are going through, but it can make a difference. It can provide a space for you to open up about all aspects of what you are dealing with, helping you to feel supported, validated, and less isolated and alone. Therapy with someone who has been there and gets it, can also make you feel understood in a way that you might not have experienced up to now.

My work with IVF and infertility is grounded in both the professional and the personal. My therapy training and years of experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist provide the professional foundation for my work. And my personal experience of IVF and infertility provide a depth of understanding and empathy which act like a shared language between myself and my clients - as I truly understand the landscape of what you are going through.

If you would like support from a therapist who has been through IVF and infertility themselves and understands how much it can impact you, please get in touch.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and for you to see if I feel like the right fit.

I will gather a bit of information about you, and find out more about what’s going on for you.

I will also answer any questions you might have.

We will take things gently, and at your pace. There is no pressure to commit to further sessions unless it feels right for you, and you want to go ahead.
