About me and my therapy practice

It can be a tremendous relief to find someone who can truly listen and understand you.

Counselling can feel like a big step; and you may be feeling unsure and anxious.

I would like to offer you a safe place where you can begin to share your experience and express your thoughts and feelings.

Working in a non-judgemental way, I will follow your pace, and support you as you begin to make choices that can improve your well-being, confidence and sense of authentic self.

Through the safety of the counselling relationship, you can begin to experience a self-acceptance that can lead to a more meaningful and fulfilling existence.

Practice description

I work with individuals who are struggling with relationship and communication problems, bereavement, chronic illness, having a baby, children leaving home, or the transition between school and work/college or university.

I have over 12 years experience as a counsellor; I currently work with adults and young people over 16.

As well as my counselling qualifications, I also have a degree in Art, enabling me to work creatively and with different media. This can be particularly helpful if you are struggling to locate emotions , or are perhaps scared of your feelings; creativity can help to unlock and express these safely.

Neurodiversity

I am highly experienced in supporting people who are Autistic, have ADD, ADHD, and/or Sensory Processing Difference.

You may have a diagnosis, or just have a feeling that you may be 'wired differently'.

I can offer a safe space, therapeutic and psycho-educational support, with strategies that can be very helpful.
