Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and aim to offer flexible appointment times to fit around your commitments. I provide online sessions during the day and evening, with some limited weekend availability.

I understand that finding the right time for therapy can be challenging alongside work, family, or other responsibilities, so I will always do my best to find a time that works for you.

If you’re unsure about availability, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can discuss options together. I aim to respond to enquiries promptly, usually within 24–48 hours.

If I am planning any periods of leave or time away from practice, this will be communicated clearly in advance to any clients I am working with.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP-accredited counsellor offering a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to make the process feel as comfortable and collaborative as possible.

I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. At the heart of my work is the belief that being heard, understood and accepted can create the conditions for meaningful change. I will work alongside you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, stress, grief, loss, relationship difficulties, identity and self-esteem. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or have a more general sense that something isn’t quite right, therapy can offer space to reflect, gain clarity and move forward.

Our work may focus on understanding patterns, processing difficult experiences, or developing new ways of coping. Some people come for short-term, focused work, while others choose longer-term therapy. We can discuss what feels most helpful for you.

I offer online sessions, providing a flexible and accessible way to access support from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Practice description

I offer a confidential, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be heard. My aim is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy, whether that feels clear or hard to put into words.

I work online (or via telephone), which allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place at a regular time each week where possible, helping to provide consistency and a sense of structure to the work.

Our first session (Initial Assessment) is an opportunity to begin getting to know each other and to think together about what has brought you to therapy and what you might hope to gain from it. There is no pressure to commit beyond this initial meeting. If we decide to continue, we will agree a way of working that feels right for you.

I work in a collaborative way, meaning we will regularly check in on how the process is feeling and whether the sessions are meeting your needs. Some people come with a specific focus, while others use the space more openly to reflect and explore.

Everything you share is treated in confidence, within the boundaries of professional and ethical guidelines, which I will explain at the outset.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to explore what has brought you to therapy. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so there is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

We will talk about what is going on for you at the moment, any relevant background, and what you might hope to gain from therapy. I may ask some gentle questions to help build a fuller picture, but this is very much a conversation rather than a formal assessment.

This session is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. The relationship between client and therapist is important, so it’s okay to take your time in deciding if it feels like the right fit.

If we decide to continue, we can agree a way of working together, including frequency of sessions and focus. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I’m happy to support you in thinking about alternative options.
