Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and offer flexible appointments in person, online, and by telephone. Sessions are available during the day, in the evenings, and with limited weekend appointments where possible.

I understand that life can be busy, and finding time for therapy isn't always easy. Whether you prefer the comfort of your own home, the convenience of a telephone session, or meeting face to face, I aim to make accessing support as straightforward and flexible as possible.

If you're considering counselling but aren't sure about current availability, please get in touch. I'll be happy to discuss appointment options, answer any questions you may have, and help you decide whether we're the right fit.

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

If I have any planned leave or time away from practice, I will let current clients know well in advance to ensure continuity of care and minimise any disruption to our work together.

About me and my therapy practice

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you're used to facing life's challenges on your own. My aim is to offer a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel genuinely heard, and explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.

I am a BACP-accredited counsellor working with adults, offering counselling in person, online and by telephone. Whether you're experiencing a specific difficulty or simply have a sense that something isn't quite right, we can work together to better understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

I work integratively, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship—one built on trust, empathy and acceptance—is at the heart of meaningful change. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, with no pressure or judgement.

Over the years, I have supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, identity issues, life transitions and many of the challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Therapy can help you make sense of difficult emotions, recognise unhelpful patterns, build resilience and develop healthier ways of coping.

Some people come to counselling with a clear goal or a particular issue they want to work through. Others simply know they want life to feel different but aren't yet sure how. Whatever brings you here, we can explore it together in a way that feels supportive, collaborative and meaningful.

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, depending on your needs, and provide appointments in person, online or by telephone, giving you the flexibility to access support in the way that feels right for you.

Practice description

I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, reflect and work towards positive change.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. Together we'll explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable, regularly reviewing our work to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs. Some clients come with a specific issue they want to address, while others value having a dedicated space to reflect, gain insight and make sense of life's challenges.

Everything you share is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality, within the professional and ethical framework of the BACP, which I will explain fully at the beginning of our work together. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood and supported as we work towards the changes that matter most to you.

My first session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive environment. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, so there is no expectation to share everything straight away. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

During our first meeting, we'll explore what has brought you to counselling, what's happening in your life at the moment, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I may ask some gentle questions about your background and current circumstances to help me understand your experiences, but this is a conversation rather than a formal assessment.

The first session is also your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about counselling or the way I work. Finding the right therapist is important, and this meeting gives us both the chance to decide whether we feel we're a good fit to work together.

If we decide to continue, we'll agree how we'd like to work, including the frequency of sessions and the areas you'd like to focus on. If, for any reason, it doesn't feel like the right fit, there's absolutely no obligation to continue, and where appropriate, I'll be happy to discuss other options that may better meet your needs.

My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling listened to, understood and clearer about how therapy could support you.
