About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low or simply not quite yourself, and you're unsure what to do next. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out for counselling.

With over 19 years experience, I support adults through a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as the challenges that can arise when life doesn't go as planned. My aim is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and able to explore what you're experiencing at your own pace.

I am a UK Accredited Counsellor, Trauma-Informed Practitioner and Advanced Clinical Supervisor (Level 6). I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor in 2007 and have experience working with a broad range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression and low mood, stress, low self-esteem and confidence, trauma, bereavement and loss, family and relationship difficulties and health-related challenges.

I believe that everyone is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. My training is in Person-Centred Therapy and I also have experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I use an eclectic approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques and practical tools to tailor our sessions to your individual needs and what feels most helpful for you.

I work collaboratively, meaning we work together rather than me telling you what you should do. We can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, develop a greater understanding of what is happening for you and identify practical ways of managing difficult emotions and day-to-day challenges.

You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about before you start counselling. Sometimes recognising that things don't feel right is enough of a reason to reach out.

Practice description

I offer telephone and video counselling sessions, giving you the flexibility to access support in a way that feels comfortable and suits your individual needs and circumstances.

I provide single-session therapy for individuals seeking focused, practical support in one intentional conversation, with no long-term commitment required.

I offer support to women experiencing the emotional and psychological impact of perimenopause and menopause. This can be a challenging time, with changes affecting your mood, anxiety, confidence, sleep, relationships and sense of identity. You may feel overwhelmed, unlike yourself or simply struggling to cope with changes that can be difficult to understand and talk about. I provide a safe, supportive space to explore these experiences and find ways to manage them with greater confidence and self-understanding.

I also support clients affected by cancer and life-limiting illness, recognising that a diagnosis can have a profound emotional impact on individuals and those close to them. My experience as a Macmillan Affiliate has been invaluable in developing my understanding of the challenges people can face through diagnosis, treatment, uncertainty, adjustment, loss and recovery.

Whether you are navigating changes in your health, identity or circumstances, I offer a safe and compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. Our work together will be tailored to your individual needs and what feels most helpful for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to my profile.

I am a UK Accredited Counsellor, Trauma-Informed Practitioner and Advanced Clinical Supervisor with over 19 years’ experience supporting adults with a broad range of mental health and emotional difficulties. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression and low mood, stress, low self-esteem and confidence, trauma, bereavement and loss, family and relationship difficulties and health-related challenges including chronic illness, cancer and menopause.

I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor in 2007 and became an Advanced Clinical Supervisor in August 2025. I also have experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and use an eclectic approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic perspectives, techniques and practical tools to tailor supervision to each supervisee’s individual needs.

Advanced Clinical Supervision:

I offer Level 6 Advanced Clinical Supervision at £50 per hour or £75 per 1.5-hour session.

Practice description

As a clinical supervisor, I offer a supportive and reflective space where counsellors can explore their client work, reflect on their practice and develop their skills and confidence.

I aim to create an environment built on warmth, trust and mutual respect, where you feel able to bring your experiences, questions and uncertainties to supervision. I believe supervision should be both enjoyable and appropriately challenging, while providing opportunities for reflection, learning and professional development.

Together, we may explore ethical and professional issues, personal and professional boundaries, legal considerations, or aspects of your work that you find difficult or uncomfortable. Supervision can also provide an opportunity to reflect on how your client work affects you and explore any thoughts, feelings or responses that may arise.

Whether you are in training, newly qualified or building your experience as a counsellor, I will work collaboratively with you to support your ongoing development and help you grow in confidence as a practitioner.

My first session

Before your first supervision session, I will email you a Registration Form and Supervision Contract to review and complete, along with a copy of my Privacy Notice to read and review.

Payment by BACS is required in advance of your session.

If you require any further information or have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
