My name is Cathryn and thank you for taking the time to read about me.

I understand that reaching out and talking to someone about the things we're finding difficult in life can be incredibly daunting. Taking that first step takes courage, and I want to reassure you that you are not alone in it.

I offer a calm, confidential and supportive space where you can explore what's going on for you at your own pace. Whether you're feeling stuck, or simply want to understand yourself better, we can work together to move toward your own personal goals.

I work with adults and young adults aged 16 and over. My core training is in Psychodynamic Therapy, which means I can help you explore how past experiences might be influencing your present. I also integrate elements of other therapeutic approaches, allowing me to offer a more personalised and flexible way of working - tailored to suit your unique needs.

I am a registered member of the BACP and have been working as a counsellor for over 20 years. 

In the first session with you I will complete an assessment which is where I will collect your contact details and complete standard forms. 

I will also discuss with you what has brought you to seek support and any goals that you would like to set for yourself.
