About me and my therapy practice

I am a professional counsellor (accredited with BACP) offering friendly and effective therapy for adults and young people (+16) in Fleet, Hampshire since 2013. First session - 30 min (£30). Working flexibly with weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions to suit you.

I also work with people in group programmes and mentoring. Please see my website for more details.

Starting therapy can feel like taking a risk. It’s also an expression of hope, an act of bravery and a step towards healing and growth.

Sessions with me are your regular time to talk with absolute freedom and honesty, to unpack difficulties, to voice all parts of you, to understand how you came to be as you are right now. With me you will feel safe, heard and witnessed. Together we can find the growth and healing you need – this may look like accepting what is beyond your control or growing personal power and moving towards change. It will certainly include expanding your understanding and acceptance of yourself.

Therapy can be creative or practical. It can be gentle and unfolding or focused and goal-centered. It is always consistent and boundaried.

When you work with me you get the professional (BACP Accredited, MA educated and over thirteen years of experience) but you also get the person – someone walking the road of being a human, facing challenges, feeling deeply and working on my own wellness every day.

Therapy with me is a true partnership.

Contact me to discuss how we can work together.

My first session

The first session is a chance for us to talk through why you feel you need therapy, what you hope will change through our work and time to get to know each other. It is a time to ask questions and to check whether you feel I can help you get to where you need to be. For me, it is a chance to check that I am the best professional to support you. Therapy is a relationship, a professional one yes, but it is two people sat in a room talking - so feeling at ease and checking you are comfortable with me is important!

Most first sessions hold hope - they are the first step and often much easier than people imagine they will be.
