About me and my therapy practice
Are you seeking a skilled and compassionate counsellor who is dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges? With over 25 years of experience in counselling, supervision, and education, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I was once told ‘this too will pass’ and I have found the difficulties in my own life have done so. However, I could not do it alone, as it felt too tough a journey to be on. Looking back today, I am glad I had a counsellor to listen to me and support me throughout my journey.
You may feel as I did: overloaded, confused and questioning why?
As your counsellor I will to listen to you with empathy and compassion, help you see your strengths and show you kindness as you work through your challenges.
With my support, over time your difficulties too will pass.

My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic perspectives. I offer a supportive, collaborative and appropriately challenging space to explore your client work, therapeutic relationships, use of self and professional development.
Supervision can include exploring:
Ethical dilemmas and clinical decision-making
Risk assessment and safeguarding
Boundaries and professional responsibilities
The therapeutic relationship and use of self
Complex client presentations
Neurodivergence and working with young people
Relationships, life transitions and emotional difficulties
The impact of the work on you as a practitioner
Integrating theory with your clinical practice
I believe supervision is about more than reporting what happened in a session. It is an opportunity to slow down, become curious about your work, consider different perspectives and understand the reasoning behind your clinical decisions.
I aim to create a supervisory relationship where you feel able to bring uncertainty, mistakes, ethical concerns and challenging work without fear of judgement. Together, we can think about what is happening for your client, what is happening for you, and what may be needed next.
For trainee counsellors, I can support the development of clinical confidence, reflective practice, professional identity and the integration of theory and practice.
For experienced practitioners, supervision provides a confidential space to refresh, deepen and develop your practice.
My supervision is informed by the BACP Ethical Framework and Supervision Competence Framework, with clear attention to client welfare, ethical practice, safeguarding, risk and professional responsibility.
Glasgow & online
If you are looking for an experienced, approachable supervisor who will offer both support and thoughtful challenge, please get in touch for an informal conversation.
