About me and my therapy practice

As a Brazilian psychologist who has made London my home for many years, I understand what it means to navigate life, work and relationships across two cultures — the adjustments, the losses, and the sense of building a new identity while holding onto another. I bring that understanding into my work with all my clients, alongside 20 years of clinical experience across Brazil and UK.

I trained as a psychologist in Brazil, in CBT, Integrative and Psychodynamic approaches, and went on to complete postgraduate training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust — one of the UK's leading centres for psychoanalytic and systemic thinking. Over my career I have worked across the full developmental span, providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, families and adults, including seven years as a school counsellor with Kids Company across KS1–KS4 provision, and running a private practice in Chiswick. I also worked at Marie Curie Hospice, supporting patients and families facing terminal illness and bereavement.

Alongside my clinical training, I also have professional experience in Human Resources, which has given me a grounded understanding of workplace dynamics, career transitions and occupational stress — an area I draw on directly in my current work with adult clients.

Having built this depth of experience across statutory, charitable, medical and private settings, I am now focusing my practice on adult clients, working with anxiety, relationship difficulties, career-related transitions, depression, trauma, bereavement and loss, gender-based violence, and neurodivergence (including SpLD) in adulthood.

Practice description

I offer both short-term, focused intervention and longer-term therapeutic work, structured according to clinical need and what each client needs. I hold consulting rooms in Wimbledon, Chiswick and West Hampstead, and also work online. New clients are welcome to book a free 20-minute consultation to discuss their needs before committing to ongoing work.

My first session

Before committing to ongoing therapy, I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what has brought you to seek support, for you to ask any questions, and for us both to check that working together feels like the right fit.

At the first session, you will be asked to sign a therapy contract and complete a short form. If we go ahead, the first two sessions are then used as an assessment period. Rather than a fixed intake questionnaire, we use this time together to understand what you, as the client, need, and to build a shared picture of your history and current difficulties. By the end of these two sessions, we agree together how the work should move forward — a short-term, focused piece of work (typically 6–10 sessions) or a longer-term therapeutic process, depending on what best suits you.

All sessions, including the two assessment sessions, run for 50 minutes. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
