About me and my therapy practice
I provide online counselling for adults throughout the UK, offering a calm, supportive and collaborative space in which to explore life's difficulties. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship problems, loss, low self-esteem, trauma, or simply feel that life has become overwhelming, I will work alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.
I have over twelve years of experience in private practice. My approach is Humanistic Integrative, drawing on Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory and contemporary trauma-informed practice where appropriate. Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a fixed formula.
My aim is to help you gain greater understanding of yourself, develop lasting emotional resilience and make meaningful changes that continue beyond the therapy room.
Practice description
I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, attachment issues, trauma, bereavement, life transitions, stress, and low self-esteem. I also have experience supporting clients with emotional regulation, family difficulties, and the lasting effects of adverse childhood experiences.
My practice combines careful listening with evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy, and I aim to provide a respectful, non-judgemental environment where difficult experiences can be explored safely.
Sessions are provided online, allowing clients across the UK to access therapy wherever they are. I work with both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs and goals.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. You can tell me what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
I will explain how I work, discuss confidentiality and practical arrangements, and together we will begin to explore what you hope to achieve through therapy. There is no pressure to continue after the first session; finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I encourage clients to choose someone with whom they feel comfortable.
