About me and my therapy practice

I work with people facing a wide range of difficulties — depression, anxiety, loss and grief, addiction, bad habits, relationship difficulties, and the quieter sense that life simply isn’t working as it should. I believe we all have internal resources to flourish, but these can become blocked by past experiences, stress, or repeating patterns. Therapy helps to identify and remove the barriers that prevent you from living the life you want.

Alongside my work with individuals, I have a strong focus on couples therapy. Many people seek help because of conflict, communication problems, emotional distance, or the breakdown of an important relationship. I support couples to understand the patterns driving their difficulties, rebuild connection, and develop healthier ways of relating.

Therapy is not a panacea, but it can change the trajectory of a life — and of a relationship. I take seriously the responsibility of working with you and am committed to helping you find your own solutions.

With over twenty years of experience in the mental health field, I offer professional and discreet individual counselling and couples therapy in Sevenoaks, Rochester, and Buckhurst Hill. I also provide online therapy via video for those who prefer or require remote sessions.

If you would like to discuss your situation, please feel free to contact me by email or text in the first instance. When enquiring, please let me know whether you are seeking face-to-face or online sessions, and your preferred practice location.

Practice description

Practice Description

I offer a private, confidential space for both individuals and couples to explore what feels difficult, confusing or overwhelming in their lives. People come to me for many reasons — anxiety, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, addiction, stress, childhood experiences, or simply a sense that life isn’t working as it should. Whatever you bring, my aim is to understand your perspective and help you find a clearer, more grounded way forward.

My approach is calm, steady and collaborative. I work integratively, drawing from Person-Centred, CBT, Existential and Psychodynamic models, but without overwhelming you with theory. What matters most is creating a space where you feel safe, understood and able to talk freely. Together we will explore the patterns, pressures and emotions shaping your life, and begin removing the barriers that keep you stuck.

I also work extensively with couples, supporting partners who are struggling with conflict, emotional distance, communication problems or the breakdown of trust. Couples therapy offers a structured, supportive place to slow down, understand what is happening between you, and build healthier ways of relating. I help couples reconnect with what still works, address what hurts, and move toward a relationship that feels more stable, open and connected.

I have over twenty years’ experience in the mental health field, including many years as a mental health nurse, and bring a grounded understanding of a wide range of psychological difficulties. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for your relationship, I will meet you with sensitivity, confidentiality and without judgement.

My first session

The first appointment is a full session (50 minutes), during which I will ask some questions about your current situation and history. We will use the session to try to establish what you would like from therapy, and you can ask any questions you might have.
