About me and my therapy practice

Therapy can provide a contained, supportive space to explore what is important to you. I am a qualified, accredited therapist with a great deal of experience in private practice and the NHS. Working together, it is possible to make lasting positive change.

I aim to work with each person in a way that is tailored to them. We will explore thoughts, feelings and experiences, as well as the relationship between us. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to work with clients in a non-judgemental, collaborative and creative way. In my experience, building an open and trusting relationship is the most important factor in counselling and psychotherapy.

Please contact me for an initial consultation, to discuss your situation, or just to ask questions.

Practice description

Please contact me by email, telephone, or through my contact form. If you phone and reach my voicemail, please leave your name and contact number along with some good times to return your call. I aim to reply within 24 hours of your message on weekdays.

It is possible to arrange a brief telephone conversation that may help you decide to go forward with therapy.

If you are happy, we will arrange an initial meeting to talk about what you want to get from therapy and consider whether you think that therapy might help you. If you are happy to proceed, we would then usually book a 50-minute session to continue at the same time each week. We can aim to work together in an open-ended way or for a specific length of time.

My first session

In the first session I hope to learn what brings you to therapy now, how you are feeling in your day-to-day life and perhaps something about your history: your family, growing up, school, important relationships and anything else important for you.

We will begin to consider whether working together might be helpful to you.
