About me and my therapy practice
I work from the belief that therapy is most effective when it's collaborative and relational - a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. I offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences, emotions, and the ways they continue to shape your life.
Every person is different, and I tailor my approach to fit your needs rather than expecting you to fit a particular model. We'll work at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you and what you want to change or understand better. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is central to how I work - therapy happens in the connection between us, not just in the techniques we use.
I've been a qualified counsellor for over a decade and hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Pluralistic Counselling from Abertay University. I'm a BACP Senior Accredited counsellor, qualified EMDR practitioner, and COSCA-qualified supervisor.
Practice description
As a pluralistic therapist, I work flexibly across different therapeutic approaches, shaping our work together around what you need rather than following a single model. Depending on what's most helpful for you, I might draw on:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools
Mindfulness and compassion-focused approaches
Inner child and parts work
Person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives
Trauma-informed interventions, including EMDR
I've worked in diverse settings over the past decade - private practice, Employee Assistance Programmes, IAPT services, and the third sector. I'm also a registered provider with BUPA. This breadth of experience means I've supported people with a wide range of difficulties, including:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma, abuse, and PTSD
Complex mental health needs
Gender identity and LGBTQ+ concerns
Neurodiversity (particularly ADHD and autism)
Substance use and addiction
Suicidal thoughts and self-harm
Bereavement, loss, and life transitions
I have particular interest and lived experience in areas where neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ identities, and trauma intersect. My practice is grounded in creating a safe, affirming space where you can explore your experiences without judgment.
How We Work Together
I offer therapy online via Google Meet, Teams, or WhatsApp video, which provides flexibility and allows you to access support from wherever feels comfortable for you. Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes and we'll work at a pace that feels manageable.
My first session
IIn our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and establish how we'll work together. We'll cover the practical framework - confidentiality, safeguarding, fees and cancellations - and then explore what's brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for.
If you've had therapy before, it's helpful to reflect on what worked well and what didn't, so we can shape an approach that suits you. Some people like to set clear goals and track progress, while others prefer a more open, exploratory space. We might use tools like personal timelines if structure helps you make sense of things, or we might work in a gentler, more organic way - it depends on what feels right for you.
There's no single way to do therapy. My role is to create a safe, supportive space and work with you to find an approach that feels comfortable and meaningful. We'll always work at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you.
Before We Meet
Before your first appointment, I'm happy to answer any questions. I'll send you a therapy agreement covering the practicalities - how we work together, payment, cancellations, and confidentiality. By attending your first session, you're indicating that you've read and understood these terms.
If at any point I feel a different type of support might better meet your needs, I'll be honest about this and can help connect you with other services.

Availability
I offer supervision online via video call, which means we can work together wherever you're based.

About me and my therapy practice
I'm a COSCA qualified supervisor and BACP Senior Accredited counsellor offering supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as other mental health professionals.
My approach to supervision is collaborative and reflective. I work from a pluralistic foundation, which means I'm interested in what works for you and your clients, rather than imposing a single theoretical model. We'll explore your casework together, attend to the ethical dimensions of your practice, and create space for you to develop your own therapeutic voice and confidence.
Supervision with me is a supportive space where you can bring challenges, uncertainties, and successes - somewhere to think aloud, reflect deeply, and ensure you're looking after yourself as well as your clients.
Practice description
I work with the Hawkins and Shohet seven-eyed model of supervision, which allows us to explore your client work from multiple perspectives - looking at the client's process, your own experience as therapist, the relationship between you, and the wider contexts that shape the work.
My pluralistic training means I'm curious about different ways of working and thinking about therapy. I aim to create a supervision relationship that's ethical, reflective, and genuinely supportive - a space where you can bring uncertainty, explore what's happening in your practice, and develop your own understanding of how you work best.
Supervision should feel like somewhere you can think freely, not somewhere you're being judged. My focus is on helping you grow in confidence and skill while staying grounded in good ethical practice.
My first session
Our first supervision session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit.
We'll talk about what you're looking for from supervision, where you are in your practice (whether you're training, newly qualified, or more experienced), and what kind of support would be most helpful. I'll explain how I work and we can discuss practical arrangements like frequency of sessions and how we'll structure our time together.
It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for whether my approach to supervision resonates with you. Supervision is most effective when there's a good working relationship, so it's important that it feels right for both of us.
If we decide to work together, we'll also cover the practicalities - confidentiality, boundaries, what to do between sessions, and how we'll review our work together over time.
