About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding relationships difficult, struggling to switch off, feeling the impact of loss or grief, or finding areas of your life, such as family or work, more challenging?
You may be here because something is no longer working, in yourself, your relationships, or your ability to cope, in the way it once did.
Patterns such as people-pleasing, perfectionism, withdrawal, low self-worth or using alcohol or food are often ways you’ve adapted, particularly in response to attachment and loss.
We work together to understand and change the patterns shaping how you think, feel, behave and relate.
My role is to support meaningful and lasting change by offering a calm, reflective, non-judgemental space where you can think clearly, process what you are carrying, and develop more effective ways of relating to yourself and others.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist working relationally, with a focus on attachment, loss and trauma. I work with individuals, couples and twos experiencing relationship difficulties, stress, loss and life transitions.
What therapy can support you with
• Understanding and changing unhelpful patterns
• Improving relationships (with yourself and others)
• Building self-worth, confidence and emotional awareness
• Processing past experiences to reduce their impact
• Developing healthier coping strategies
• Feeling more settled, clear and at ease
Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy
Your experiences shape how you think, feel and relate. The ways of coping you developed may once have supported you, but may now feel limiting.
Therapy offers the opportunity for change. By understanding these patterns, you can begin to respond differently — with more choice, clarity and self-trust.
Marriage, Couple Counselling and Two’s Psychotherapy
People usually seek relationship therapy for one of three reasons:
1. To grow, repair or reconnect
2. To make a decision
3. To separate amicably
(Please note I work with options 1 and 2 only)
Practice description
Relationship Counselling
We look at how learnt patterns and past experiences may be impacting your connection within your relationship(s).
These patterns can show up as communication difficulties, conflict, emotional distance, infidelity, resentment or a sense of disconnection.
Every relationship is co-created with each person bringing their own history, attachment patterns and ways of coping, including responses such as fight, flight, freeze or fawn (appease).
In therapy, we explore these patterns together so you can better understand one another, improve communication, and begin to rebuild connection in a way that feels more secure and supportive.
If you are looking for a space that is non-blaming, non-judgemental and focused on understanding relationships, whether as an individual, couple or tow, then do get in touch.
