About me and my therapy practice
How I work
Sex and intimacy can be difficult to talk about, particularly when something no longer feels right in your relationship or sexual life. I offer a warm, respectful and confidential space where individuals and couples can explore their concerns openly, without shame or judgement.
My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, systemic and CBT-informed approaches. Together, we explore not only the difficulties you are experiencing but also the emotional, relational and life experiences that may contribute to them. Therapy is tailored to your individual circumstances, needs and goals.
I work with a wide range of relationship and sexual difficulties, including differences in desire, loss of intimacy, sexual anxiety, relationship conflict, sexual pain, erectile and orgasmic difficulties, and the impact of trauma, neurodiversity, illness and significant life transitions.
My clinical experience includes specialist NHS psychosexual therapy in oncology, supporting individuals and couples affected by cancer and its treatment. Alongside my private practice, I work as a National Clinical Lead for Relationship and Psychosexual Therapy within a national charity organisation.
My background and qualifications
I trained at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships and the Relate Institute, completing a Master's degree in Relationship Therapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy. I also hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision.
I am a COSRT Accredited Member and Supervisor, a BACP Registered Member and a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. I adhere to the professional and ethical standards of these organisations.

My first session
Psychosexual Assessment & Individual History-Taking
Relationship and Psychosexual Therapy begins with a structured assessment process. This allows us to develop a clear understanding of the difficulty you are experiencing and to agree a treatment plan that is appropriate, realistic, and tailored to you.
Assessment usually takes place over one or more sessions and may include individual history-taking sessions, even when therapy will later involve a partner. This is a standard and important part of psychosexual work.
During assessment we may explore:
- Your current sexual concern and how it developed
- Relationship history and current dynamics (if relevant)
- Emotional wellbeing, stress levels, and life circumstances
- Sexual history, beliefs, and experiences
- Physical health, medication, or medical factors
- Any relevant experiences of trauma, illness, or neurodiversity
You are always in control of what you share. The pace is guided by your comfort, and sensitive areas are approached with care and respect.
For couples, individual sessions provide a confidential space for each partner to speak openly and help ensure that therapy proceeds safely, ethically, and with clarity.
Treatment Planning
Following assessment, we will collaboratively agree a treatment plan. This may include:
- Clear therapeutic goals
- An indication of the likely focus and length of therapy
- Recommended session structure (individual and/or couple sessions)
- Therapeutic approaches appropriate to your needs
Psychosexual therapy may involve talking therapy, psychoeducation, relational work, and where appropriate, structured exercises to support change between sessions. Any exercises are discussed in advance and only undertaken with consent.
The assessment process helps ensure that therapy is grounded, purposeful, and responsive to your specific situation rather than based on assumptions or generic techniques.

My first session
Your First Session and Assessment
Relationship and psychosexual therapy begins with an assessment to understand your concerns, their possible contributing factors and what you hope to achieve. This may take one or more sessions and can include individual history-taking, even if you are seeking couples therapy.
What does the assessment involve?
Depending on your circumstances, we may explore:
* Your current sexual or relationship concerns and how they developed* Relationship history and current dynamics
* Emotional wellbeing, stress and significant life events
* Sexual history, beliefs and expectations
* Physical health, medication and relevant medical factors
* Experiences of trauma, illness or neurodiversity
You are not expected to share everything in your first session. We approach sensitive subjects at a manageable pace, and you choose what to disclose.
Individual sessions within couples therapy
I may recommend an individual assessment with each partner to understand their experiences and concerns before or alongside joint sessions. We will discuss and agree the boundaries of confidentiality in advance, including how information shared individually is handled in couples therapy.
Treatment planning
After assessment, we will agree on therapeutic goals, the focus and structure of sessions, and whether individual, couple or combined work is appropriate. We can also discuss the likely duration of therapy where this is possible.
Psychosexual therapy may include talking therapy, psychoeducation, relationship-focused work and structured exercises between sessions. Any exercises are discussed beforehand and are always voluntary.
Assessment helps us develop a shared understanding of your difficulties and a clear, collaborative way forward.

I offer online supervision.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer individual and group supervision to trainees and qualified practitioners working within the NHS and private practice, including relationship counsellors and psychosexual therapists.
I am an accredited psychosexual therapist at The Royal Marsden Hospital, where I specialise in supporting individuals and couples affected by the impact of cancer treatment on sexual wellbeing, intimacy, and relationships.
Practice description
I believe supervision works most creatively and productively if the therapist feels dynamic, supported and influential in shaping the work. I see my role as supervisor in helping a practitioner to identify blocks, impasse, feeling stuck within the work and reflecting on interventions, technique and ideas to move forward; identifying useful resources, reading and CPD opportunities when appropriate; and to consider self-care, best practice and issues of ethics within the clinical context.
Models of supervision vary, but essentially the ‘7 Eyed Model’ can create a good broad spectrum from which to work.
As an accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist, I also support trainees undertaking sexual therapy training, both in their academic work and clinical placements. I offer guidance in developing clinical confidence, reflective practice and ethical awareness, and support students in working towards accreditation with College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.
Please do contact me to discuss supervision further.
My first session
Prior to our first session we shall a telephone conversation (free of charge) to discuss our contract, what type of supervision you had before and what kind of supervisor you are looking for.
You can ask any questions about how I work and my experiences and qualifications. If we decide to work together, we shall establish your availability to come for supervision, locations (Central London, Finchley Central or Zoom), cost and your preferred method of paying.
