I work Monday and Wednesday evenings online

Fridays I offer in person sessions during the day in Hackney Downs and also online, Friday evening sessions are only online. 

I work some weekends on request. 

Late evening and weekend sessions are more expensive. 

About me and my therapy practice

I work primarily online with a few limited spaces for in person in Hackney Downs on Fridays during the day. I have worked internationally and with a diverse range of ethnicities. My modality is integrative, marrying Western psychotherapy with Eastern practices of Mindfulness and Meditation. My training is Psychodynamic and Existential, leaning more towards a spiritual and humanistic approach which is Jungian. I use Gestalt Practice. For 20 years I've worked mostly within the Queer, South Asian and HIV positive identities. I believe you are the expert on you and my role is to facilitate our journey together of the discovery, understanding, acceptance and healing of the you, you have been and the you you would like to become. 

Practice description

My Pracitice is primarily Talking Therapy. However, I may often use some CBT techniques and forms when they are necessary. I use Gestalt exercises and Transactional Analysis. I use mindfulness practices and meditations such as Metha Bhavna, Compassion and Gratitude Meditation, Annapanna silent breath meditation, Walking Meditation and Chakra Meditations. 

My first session

I call this our "Initial Consultation" which is slightly more expensive as it lasts for a full 60 minute hour than just the stipulated standard 50 minute therapy hour. 

We will explore your background demographic identities and the realities that bring you to therapy at the present time.

We will explore what your goals and expectations might be from me, from therapy and for yourself. 

We will lay out the framework within which we will be working and arrive at a mutually agreeable plan for the first 12 weeks. We will do a review and make a further plan for the weeks ahead in the 11th session. I use the PHQ and GAD forms as an indicator of mental health and well-being to record the progress of the journey.
