About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist working in private practice with adults. My training and clinical experience have shaped a strong interest in how early relationships, identity, and lived experience influence emotional wellbeing and patterns in adulthood.
Alongside my clinical work, I have extensive experience supporting high-achieving professionals and individuals who carry significant responsibility in their personal or working lives. I am particularly attentive to the ways culture, race, and social context can shape emotional experience, especially for Black clients who may be navigating visibility, expectation, or a sense of being “othered” within professional or elite environments.
I aim to offer a thoughtful, contained, and respectful therapeutic relationship, where clients can speak openly and reflect deeply without pressure to perform, explain, or minimise their experience. I value therapy as a collaborative process, grounded in curiosity, honesty, and care.
Practice description
I offer individual psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults in private practice. The work provides a confidential and reflective space to explore emotional difficulties, patterns in relationships, and experiences that may be impacting wellbeing in the present.
My practice is particularly suited to individuals who are managing high levels of responsibility or pressure, including professionals and business owners who appear to function well outwardly while experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional exhaustion, or a sense of disconnection internally. I also have experience working with Black clients who wish to explore the psychological impact of identity, culture, race, and lived experience alongside other presenting concerns.
Sessions are offered on a regular weekly basis and are open-ended, allowing time for meaningful therapeutic work to develop. I work collaboratively, at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to both current difficulties and the personal history that may inform them.
My aim is to offer a professional, thoughtful, and contained therapeutic environment in which clients can speak openly, reflect deeply, and work towards greater emotional understanding and change.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and begin to explore what has brought you to therapy. You are invited to speak about your current difficulties, any concerns you may have, and what you hope therapy might offer. There is no expectation to share anything you are not ready to discuss.
I will ask some questions to help me understand your situation, background, and previous experiences of support or therapy, if any. This also allows you to get a sense of how I work and whether the therapeutic relationship feels right for you.
We will use the first session to discuss practical matters such as confidentiality, boundaries, fees, and how sessions are structured. If we agree to continue, therapy is usually offered on a regular weekly basis.
The first session is not an assessment or test. It is a starting point for a collaborative and reflective process, where we can begin to think together about what support might be most helpful for you.

About me and my therapy practice
With over 20 years experience, I specialise in working with high-functioning professionals, leaders, and achievers who may appear successful outwardly but experience inner conflict, burnout, trauma, anxiety, or difficulties in relationships and self-worth. Individuals operating in high-pressure environments who, despite outward success, may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or mentally exhausted.
Many of my clients are used to being the person others rely on. They are decisive, capable, and driven — yet privately experience stress, burnout, anxiety, or a persistent sense that something is not quite right. Therapy offers a confidential space where you do not have to perform, manage expectations, or carry responsibility alone.
My approach is both strategic and deeply reflective, integrating psychodynamic understanding with practical, evidence-based techniques. Together, we explore not only immediate challenges but also the underlying patterns shaping how you think, feel, and relate — enabling meaningful and lasting change.
I commonly support clients with:
• High-functioning anxiety and chronic stress
• Burnout and emotional fatigue
• Leadership pressure and decision-making strain
• Relationship difficulties (personal or professional)
• Loss of meaning, identity, or direction despite success
• Anger, frustration, or emotional regulation challenges
Clients often come to me when traditional coping strategies are no longer sufficient. My work is focused, confidential, and tailored to your level of insight, ambition, and complexity.

My first session
The initial session is an opportunity for us to gain a clear understanding of what has brought you to therapy, and what you would like to achieve from the process.
I will begin by exploring your current concerns, whether these relate to stress, burnout, anxiety, relationships, or a broader sense of dissatisfaction or pressure. You are free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable — there is no expectation to present yourself in any particular way.
Alongside this, I will ask some questions about your background, including relevant personal, professional, and relational experiences. This helps to build a more complete picture of your situation and the patterns that may be influencing it.
The session is also a space for you to get a sense of how I work. You may wish to ask questions about the therapeutic approach, structure of sessions, or how we might work together going forward.
Where appropriate, we will begin to identify initial areas of focus and consider what meaningful progress would look like for you. Some clients find clarity quickly, while for others this develops over time.
