About me and my therapy practice
"Therapy was literally life-changing and what I learned remains with me today. I don’t think I could ever really articulate the level of gratitude."
I'm Rob Stuart, a psychodynamic counsellor based in Walthamstow Village, East London. I offer a friendly and professional service to those who may not have experienced counselling before (or those who have been previously disappointed).
People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons. I meet a lot of people who might appear outwardly successful but are secretly struggling inside. It's not always easy to speak to friends or family and often it's better to speak to a professional about how you're feeling anyway.
I can assist with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, existential angst and strong emotions, such as anger and frustration, guilt and shame, hopelessness and despair and even thoughts of deliberate self-harm and suicide.
With more than 12 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy, including almost 5 years in the NHS, you can be confident that I will deliver a high quality service. I've worked alongside some of the best names in the field, published papers and delivered training to other mental health professionals.
I'm a professional member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), a Professional Standards Authority accredited register. I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Climate Psychology Alliance (CPS). For your peace of mind, I hold public liability insurance of up to £10,000,000.
Prices can be negotiated but if you can afford to pay, please do so I can offer reduced rates to those on limited means.
If you'd like to find out more about how I could potentially help you, why not send me a message today?
