Cathy has developed two part educational/part therapeutic programmes as follows:
Escape the Trap (Teenage Relationship Abuse Programme) a simple, straightforward and above all accessible programme that can be used in any setting with young people, whether working with groups or one to one, designed to support young people to learn about the dynamics of grooming, coercion and power & control at a much earlier stage in their experience of intimate relationships.
The VOICE Programme, a twelve-week domestic abuse programme for adults addressing domestic violence, coercive control, the programme supports victims to identify the broad spectrum of abusive behaviours, the process of dismantling that a victim goes through and the significant impact of such traumatic experiences.
The programme aims to address the various behaviours of a controlling partner, offer relatable psychoeducation on trauma and normal stress responses, enable victims to learn more about the impact of traumatic experiences and build their capacity for self-regulation and their commitment to self-care.
