About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, EMDR Practitioner, and Associate Lecturer with over 27 years’ experience working across mental health, healthcare, education, and organisational settings.
Alongside my clinical and supervisory practice, I provide training and workshops for counsellors, psychotherapists, healthcare professionals, managers, leaders, and multidisciplinary teams. My training work focuses on developing reflective capacity, clinical understanding, and emotionally informed practice within complex professional environments.
I specialise in trauma-informed practice, reflective practice, leadership and organisational development, neurodiversity awareness, emotional resilience, and communication in professional settings. I also deliver training on burnout prevention, boundaries, ethical practice, working with complexity, and supporting wellbeing in high-pressure roles.
My approach to training is relational, interactive, and experiential. I combine theory with practice-based learning, encouraging reflection, discussion, and real-world application. I aim to create a safe and engaging learning environment where participants can deepen understanding, think critically, and integrate learning into their professional roles.
My work is informed by existential and psychodynamic thinking, attachment theory, CBT and ACT-informed approaches, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed frameworks, and reflective leadership models.
As a neurodivergent, multicultural, and bilingual practitioner (English and Turkish), I bring sensitivity to identity, difference, and lived experience within professional and organisational contexts.
Training can be delivered online or in person across London and the UK, and tailored to CPD events, organisational training days, and bespoke team development programmes.
Practice description
My training practice focuses on delivering trauma-informed, reflective, and experiential learning for counsellors, psychotherapists, healthcare professionals, managers, leaders, and multidisciplinary teams working in complex and emotionally demanding environments.
I provide workshops, training programmes, and CPD-focused learning spaces that support both professional development and reflective capacity. My aim is to create learning environments where participants can deepen understanding, think critically, and translate theory into practical application within their own work settings.
My approach to training is relational, interactive, and collaborative. I combine psychological theory with real-world clinical and organisational experience, encouraging reflection, discussion, and active engagement. I prioritise psychological safety within training spaces, enabling participants to explore challenges, uncertainty, and professional development openly and without judgement.
My areas of training include trauma-informed practice, reflective practice, emotional resilience, burnout prevention, boundaries and ethical practice, neurodiversity awareness, leadership development, communication, and wellbeing in organisations and teams. I also offer training in working with complexity, emotional fatigue, and supporting sustainable practice in high-pressure roles.
My work is informed by existential and psychodynamic thinking, attachment theory, CBT and ACT-informed approaches, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed frameworks, and reflective leadership models. This integrative approach allows training to be adapted to different professional contexts and organisational needs.
Training is available online and in person across London and the UK, and can be tailored for CPD events, organisational training days, and bespoke team development programmes.
My first session
The first session (or initial consultation) is an opportunity to explore your training needs and discuss how I can best support your organisation, team, or professional group.
We will look at your aims for the training, the context you are working in, and any specific challenges or learning outcomes you would like the training to address. This may include team development, reflective practice needs, trauma-informed learning, leadership development, wellbeing, or communication within complex systems.
The session also allows you to understand my training style, approach, and delivery methods, and to consider whether my work is the right fit for your organisation or group.
I will outline how I design and deliver training, including content development, structure, format (online or in person), and any tailoring required to meet your CPD or organisational requirements.
There is no formal assessment required. For organisational training programmes, we may agree key learning objectives, outcomes, and any pre-existing needs within the team or service.
By the end of the session, we will decide together whether to proceed and, if so, agree the focus, structure, and practical arrangements for the training.
Standard training planning and consultation fees apply unless otherwise agreed in advance for organisational contracts.

Practice description
Most people seeking support for emotional or psychological distress are not experiencing internal “disorders” in any biologically demonstrable sense. Rather, they’re responding—naturally and understandably—to difficult life circumstances.
Whether the struggle involves relationships, work, addiction, or unresolved experiences from the past, emotional pain often reflects the weight of situations people have had to carry alone. Therapy offers a space to lay those burdens down, examine them safely, and understand how they have shaped your life.
My role is to provide a confidential, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood, and accompanied as you explore what may be contributing to your distress. Through this process, you can begin to make meaningful, informed changes that feel right for you.
My first session
What to Expect in a First Session
The first session is primarily a conversation about you—why you’re considering therapy, what feels difficult at the moment, and what you’re hoping therapy might support you with. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and how I work.
If you feel comfortable after this initial meeting, I will invite you to consider three further assessment sessions. This assessment phase allows us to explore your situation in more depth, to notice what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship, and to understand what you want from the work. It’s also a crucial period for you to assess whether therapy feels right for you—and specifically whether I feel like the right therapist for you.
Moving Forward
If, after the assessment phase, we agree that it makes sense to continue, we’ll then discuss the form the work might take—short-term, long-term, or open-ended—depending on your needs and preferences.
My priority throughout is that you feel empowered, informed, and at ease with any decisions about beginning or continuing therapy.
I sometimes ask some forms (PHQ-9, GAD 7, EMDR Protocol or additional form used in NHS) to be filled for speciality modalities and measure and monitor the specific difficulties.

Practice description
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative. I place emphasis on the quality of the supervisory relationship as a foundation for reflection, learning, and professional growth. I aim to create a space where you can think openly, explore uncertainty, and develop your own professional voice with greater confidence and clarity.
I draw on existential and psychodynamic approaches, attachment theory, CBT and ACT-informed practice, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed frameworks, and reflective leadership models. This allows me to respond flexibly to both clinical and organisational contexts.
Alongside supervision and mentoring, I support professionals and teams with burnout, stress, imposter syndrome, vicarious trauma, workplace conflict, decision-making under pressure, and navigating organisational change.
As a neurodivergent, multicultural, and bilingual practitioner (English and Turkish), I bring particular sensitivity to identity, difference, belonging, and the impact of systems on professional wellbeing and practice.
Sessions are available online, by phone, and in person in London for individuals, groups, and organisations.
My first session
The first session is an initial consultation designed to explore your needs and see whether working together is a good fit.
We will discuss your current role, areas of focus, and what you are looking for from supervision, mentoring, or coaching. This may include clinical work, leadership responsibilities, organisational challenges, career direction, or support with stress, burnout, or professional development.
It is also an opportunity for you to experience my working style and reflect on whether the space feels appropriate and supportive for your needs. I will outline how I work, including my approach to supervision and mentoring, boundaries, confidentiality, and how ongoing sessions are structured.
There is no formal assessment required in the first session. Where I work with organisations or within structured supervision frameworks, we may agree specific goals or reflective focus areas together.
The first session is collaborative and paced according to your needs. By the end, we will decide together whether to continue and, if so, agree on a clear focus for our ongoing work.
Standard session fees apply unless otherwise agreed in advance for organisational work
