About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative therapist and supervisor, working with a core Rogerian relationship. I have been counselling since qualifying in 2006 and supervising since 2014 when I gained a postgraduate Diploma in Supervision. I am an accredited member of the BACP and follow their ethical framework and principles of counselling. As a supervisor I place great importance on the supervisor-supervisee relationship to facilitate effective learning and growth. I aim to provide my supervisees with a confidential space in which they can share, reflect and explore themes arising from their client work and feel confident that they are practicing safely and competently. With an Integrative background, I am able to provide supervision to counsellors trained in and working with different theoretical models. Modalities I use include Integrative, Person-centred, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic, as well as some creative therapy approaches. I am able to adapt and tailor supervision work to specific or integrative theoretical approaches, being lead by my supervisee’s requirements.
I have a background in the NHS where I worked for 15 years in clinical audit, clinical governance and risk management.
