Presentation information

Can coaching accelerate therapeutic change?

10.50am – 11.35am

Susie's presentation aims to examine how the integration of coaching and therapy can improve client outcomes.

This session will follow Susie's journey from Google coach and mentor, to retraining as a psychotherapist. From helping female founders to working almost exclusively with millennial women. It will highlight the crossover areas of therapeutic approaches in coaching and vice versa, with examples of how integrating both therapy and coaching can improve client outcomes.

The session will touch on some of the similarities in the practical application of both psychological theories and coaching concepts.

Reflections of self: navigating body image disorders with Body Image Therapy

11.45am - 12.30pm

The workshop will delve into the complexities of body image disorders, with a central focus on Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of BDD, its prevalence, diagnostic criteria, and the impact it can have on individuals' lives. The workshop will also explore the intersectionality of BDD with other mental health conditions and how it can manifest across various age groups and demographics.

Neurodiversity and Counselling - first contact

3.10pm – 3.55pm

This session aims to provide details on how practitioners can be more inclusive on neurodivergent clients, provide suggestions on how to make private practice safer for neurodivergent clients, and allow practitioners to have more confidence when working with them.
