Are you a school-based counsellor or therapeutic practitioner working directly with children?
I am currently recruiting participants for an MSc research study at the University of Wolverhampton exploring practitioners’ perspectives on children’s experiences within school-based counselling and therapeutic support. The study is interested in how practitioners understand, interpret, and represent children’s voices and emotional experiences within educational settings.
Who can take part?
Participants must:
• Be a previous or current school-based counsellor, Counsellor on Placement, or closely aligned therapeutic practitioner
• Have direct experience working therapeutically with children in school settings
• Be aged 18 or over
What does participation involve?
Participation involves taking part in one online 1-1 semi-structured interview. The session will last around 45 minutes and will take place via Microsoft Teams using a university account. Topics discussed will focus on professional experiences and perspectives of school-based therapeutic work with children. Participation is entirely voluntary, and participants may withdraw from the study up to 14 days after participation. Interviews will be audio-recorded for transcription purposes. All data will be anonymised and stored securely in line with GDPR and University ethical guidelines.
Please note: Participants will be asked not to disclose identifiable information relating to children, schools, or colleagues during the discussion.
