Understanding the therapy preferences of 11-18 year old's

This research aims to co-develop, with young people and therapists, the first measure to reliably assess young people's preferences for psychotherapy and counselling.

The measure (a short survey) will be able to help identify teenage clients’ therapy preferences across a range of dimensions and will be suitable for use in counselling with young people in school, voluntary and health sector contexts, as well as a wide range of other therapeutic settings.

The tool will also be validated for use in research allowing researchers, for the first time, to address a wide range of important and unanswered questions.

We're now looking for therapists who work with young people to help distribute the survey to 11-18 years old's to test the validity of the form.

If you are able to share the survey please contact Andrea Anastassiou to get the survey link or to ask any questions.
