Dear colleagues, My name is Claire Hallett and I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Dr. Jeanne Watson in the Clinical and Counseling Psychology program at the University of Toronto.
My dissertation research focuses on psychotherapist vocal quality. I am currently looking for psychotherapists to participate in interviews about their understandings of how, if at all, psychotherapist vocal quality affects the psychotherapy process.
As a participant, you:
- Will complete a brief questionnaire asking about demographic characteristics and professional experiences
- Will engage in a 60-90 minute interview about your understanding of the role of psychotherapist vocal quality in psychotherapy process and outcome
- May be contacted after your interview about the preliminary results of the data analysis to ensure they reflect your understanding and experience
You are eligible to participate if you:
- Are a registered member of a healthcare profession that is authorized to practice psychotherapy
- Have a minimum 15 years of experience practicing psychotherapy
- Are actively working with at least one psychotherapy client per week
- Speak English fluently
All participants will receive a $20 Amazon gift card in appreciation of their time and contributions. In addition, all participants will have the option of being entered into a raffle to win an additional $100 Amazon gift card.
Thank you for your consideration. If you are interested in participating or have questions about the study, please do not hesitate to contact me at claire.hallett@mail.utoronto.ca
