My name is Matt and I’m a postgraduate counselling student at the University of Lincoln, currently conducting a qualitative research study exploring how autistic adults experience person-centred counselling for grief. Research in this area is very limited, and autistic voices are often missing — this study aims to change that.
Who can take part?
• Autistic adults aged 18+
• You identify as being autistic
• Have completed grief counselling (person-centred or primarily person-centred)
• Not currently seeking further grief counselling
What’s involved?
• One online interview via Microsoft Teams
• You control what you share — the focus is on counselling experiences, not details of loss
• You can pause or withdraw at any time What will your data be used for?
• All data will be anonymised
• Your data will be analysed and used in completion of an MSc Counselling degree at the University of Lincoln
• This study may be submitted for publication
If you’d like more information or are interested in participating, please send me an email.
Thank you for reading and for supporting autistic-led perspectives in research.
