Have you supported an employee return to work after stress, anxiety, or depression? I am currently recruiting participants for a research study as part of my MSc in Occupational Psychology at the University of Nottingham.
About the research study
This study aims to explore the approaches used by line managers to support employees return to work after being absent due to CMDs, such as stress, anxiety, or depression. The study will also explore whether the line managers’ personal experience, as well as the support they receive from their organisation, affect how they help employees during this process. By sharing your experience, you will be helping our research understand how line managers in the health and social care sector could best implement return-to-work support and identify ways organisations can better support line managers in this process.
The study has received ethical approval from the University of Nottingham.
Who we are looking for
Line managers working in the health and social care sector who have supported an employee with a CMD (e.g., stress, anxiety, or depression) return to work, in the past 10 years.
What will taking part involve?
The research will involve a 1-hour interview on MS Teams. If you may be interested in taking part, please email me and I will send you further information about the study. Following this, we can arrange a mutually convenient time for the online interview.
Participation in the study is entirely voluntary. With your consent, the online interview will be recorded for the purpose of analysis. All data collected will be anonymised, and confidentiality will be maintained throughout the research process.
Please see here for more information.
