Topic: Solitude, isolation, emptiness and seclusion, the different faces of Loneliness?

In her article ‘The loneliness epidemic’  published in Therapy Today, December 2022 / January 2023, Dr Olivia Sagan explores the roots of loneliness, and why it is on the increase. Professor of Psychology at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh she has conducted phenomenological research on the biomedical model of human distress, offering counter narratives of survival and resilience.

This workshop will use her article as a framework to explore ours and our clients sense of loneliness. In completing, we will be joined online by Dr Olivia Sagan for an introduction to her research and a Q&A.
