The Green Party has launched their manifesto today, Monday 22 May, which sees them make a number of pledges to improve mental health.

Focussing on parity, the Greens have announced a commitment to bring mental health care in line with physical care.

They have also promised to ensure people experiencing mental health crises are supported close to their home and support networks.

Additionally, the party has pledged to introduce mental health awareness training within the public sector, and in an attempt to tackle the stigma of mental ill health, will be encouraging a more open dialogue on the issue in wider society.
