For BACP, like many other organisations, the importance of assisting our members – and staff – following the huge impact of Covid-19 is of upmost importance. Therefore, much of our focus has been on providing as much support and as many resources as we can for our members during this crisis.

However, as we settle into a new normal, we wanted to let you know that we are still working on the SCoPEd project. It is still incredibly important to us that we continue with the project to provide clarity for the profession and work with our members and stakeholders to create an agreed framework.

As an additional quality check, we have asked a small group to review the format and presentation of the framework. This group includes internal divisions and committees, certain members of staff (of each partner organisation), members of each of the Boards of Governors, and some trainers and academics. The purpose of this group is to check that we’ve successfully addressed concerns and feedback from members, and to look at whether the information has been presented in the clearest possible way.

We are currently in the process of finalising the next iteration with the feedback from this additional check and therefore, we’re not able to share this with you yet. We passionately believe that the SCoPEd project is intended to create a real-life benefit for our members, and we want to assure you that this isn’t the final version. There’ll be further engagement with members and stakeholders during the next phase of the project.

In the meantime, please be aware that the frameworks that are currently on our websites are out of date and don’t reflect the work that we’ve been doing to incorporate member feedback.

We've also added some additional questions to our SCoPEd FAQs page relating to this update.
