About me and my therapy practice
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction or relationship issues, then counselling can offer an effective way of working to overcome these feelings. I use an evidence-based approach to therapy that can provide rapidly effective results. I monitor progress to evaluate and ensure effectiveness of the therapy. Currently the average scores across all my clients have dropped over a few sessions from:
Depression - 34 to 1
Anxiety - 46 to 2.5
Anger - 23 to 0
This is largely down to the latest CBT model I use which was developed in the USA and is beginning to be adopted in the UK due to its effectiveness at treating the root of peoole's issues.
I offer the option of outdoor counselling, based on the Downs, either as a 'walk and talk', or including some running at an easy pace. I also hold sessions remotely for those who would prefer, either by Zoom or over the phone.
Walking or running can be a great way to provide an environment to talk through issues in a relaxed and comfortable way. The pace of movement is down to what feels right for you and we might take the occasional break on a bench. Green spaces and movement in themselves have been shown to improve mental wellbeing so can offer the ideal setting to find a path through whatever you are struggling with.
My first sessionPlease feel free to browse my website and either contact through there or via this site. We can then arrange a free phone consultation for you to decide if it is something you would like to pursue. It is important that you find someone who you feel is the right fit for you and, if after an initial meeting you think that could be me, we would arrange a subsequent block of sessions
