About me and my therapy practice
I am an empathic and passionate psychotherapist. Whether you are struggling in your personal, romantic/marriage or professional relationships or whether you are feeling sad, stuck or finding it increasingly hard to make important life choices or perhaps experiencing symptoms of anxiety, low self-esteem or depression, I provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space in which you can explore your difficult and painful issues.
I hold a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Certificate in Bereavement Counselling, BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling and a Diploma in Christian Theology.
My Integrative approach means that my work with you can benefit from the skills and techniques of solution focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; the deep, relational dimension of Person Centred Therapy; and the insight offered by past experiences which is implicit in Psychodynamic work. Above all, I prize the development of a strong, very human bond to encourage deep trust, inspire confidence in the therapeutic process and build on sometimes unacknowledged and suppressed strengths.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues, Depression, Identity issues, Loss, Post-traumatic stress, Self esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Behavioural, Brief therapy, CBT, Gestalt, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Phenomenological, Transactional analysis
