About me and my therapy practice
Please note: I am now offering face-to-face as well as online sessions. Some concessions are available. Please email me for details.
If life feels a struggle right now, you don't have to suffer alone. A fully qualified counsellor, based in Clapham Junction SW London, I can help you explore your problems in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Difficult feelings and emotions such as sadness, anxiety or loneliness, can often leave us wondering - ‘What is wrong with me?’ ‘Why am I like this?’ ‘Will I ever feel happy again?’ In therapy, I work with you to recognise and understand your feelings more fully, increase your self-awareness, and support you to consider the changes you may wish to make in your life.
I am an Integrative Counsellor – meaning I ‘integrate’ a variety of different therapeutic techniques and approaches to fit the individual needs of each client. Integrative counselling acknowledges we are all unique, and that what’s helpful for one client, might not be for another. I work collaboratively with you to discover what feels most effective for you.
I know finding a counsellor can feel daunting, so I welcome you to contact me with any questions you may have. Then if you feel ready, we can arrange an introductory session where we will explore what brings you to counselling now, and what you wish to achieve. You can then decide if you'd like to continue with therapy.
Practice description
As a counsellor, I don’t give advice and I won’t tell you what to do. But I won’t leave you to flounder alone either. In therapy, I aim to provide a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and problems in confidence, develop a greater understanding of yourself, and be supported to consider the changes you may wish to make in your life.
My first session
If you are interested in having counselling with me, I am happy to offer a 15 minute phone or video call to enable you to find out a little more and decide if you'd like to book an introductory counselling session with me.
The purpose of the introductory session is to discuss what brings you to counselling now in more depth, and to find out what you hope to gain from having therapy. It's also a chance for you to see how I work, and for us to decide whether I am the right fit for you going forwards.
