About me and my therapy practice
I identify as Queer and my training is in Integrative Psychotherapy from The School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regents University, London. Integrating mainly Western Jungian and Existential Phenomenology with Eastern healing practices of Mindfulness and Guided Meditation working in close association with body therapists offering a bespoke experience suited to each client. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults only. I also run workshops on Intimacy, Self awareness, Gender and ChemSex management.
I also was have a seminary training which brings a pastoral, spiritual element to my work if the client requests it. I use Gestalt Therapy tools in my work, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy techniques, Transactional Analysis and many other tools I've picked up over the two decades of my professional experience.
I work with intersectionality as I am too an Indian in the UK, out as a gay man from a conservative evangelical Christian upbringing who has been living with HIV since 2004. This enables me to bring much empathy and experience to my intuition in the therapy room.
I really do believe and know from experience not just in my private practice but also from my own therapy that insight, catharsis, growth, healing and personal development happens not only in the space created between a willing therapist and a willing client but also in how the space is used in-between sessions. These happen in the safety within which words are spoken and heard, emotions expressed and held but also in the silence shared.
