About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred therapist and I am passionate about helping people live happier and more fulfilling lives. I understand that everyone is different and therefore, I offer a range of concepts, strategies, and tools that may be helpful for you based on what you are looking for.
I work over telephone and video and offer a free 15 minute introductory call which gives you an opportunity to see if I am someone you feel you can work with and also allows me to see how I can best support you. Please get in touch via email.
Practice description
We all have periods in our life when we feel low, anxious or stuck, sometimes our thoughts overwhelm us and this might be the point where we want to reach out for support. Talking therapy can help you to feel empowered and in control, instead of feeling overwhelmed and unsure about what to do next. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow, and I am here to provide you with the support and guidance you need to reach your full potential.
In my therapy sessions, I create a safe and supportive space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I will listen to you with empathy and understanding, and I will help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I will trust you to guide the therapeutic process. I will not tell you what to do or how to think. Instead, I will help you to identify and develop your own strengths and resources.
What to expect in your first session
In your first session, I will take some time to get to know you and your story. I will ask you about your current situation, your goals for therapy, and any specific challenges you are facing.
I will also answer any questions you may have about person-centred counselling and how it works as well as the other strategies I use.
By the end of the first session, we will have a good understanding of whether person-centred counselling is a good fit for you. We will also have a plan for how we will work together to achieve your goals.
How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people find that they start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others need more time.
I will work with you to set realistic goals for therapy and to track your progress. We will regularly review your goals and make adjustments as needed.
