About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Jody,
I help adults and young people to live the life they deserve. Are you feeling anxious, stressed, low in mood or overwhelmed? Is how you are feeling affecting your relationships, self esteem, work or self confidence?
I can help you to:
*Explore difficult emotions and experiences
*Work on unhelpful thoughts or behaviours
*Gain insight and clarity
*Develop your self awareness
*Feel calmer and happier
I do this by helping you to understand your experiences, feelings and behaviours. I'll listen, ask questions, validate your experiences and share knowledge when necessary.
I am professional, approachable, warm and easy to talk to. I will tailor sessions to suit you and your need’s, whilst providing you with a safe, non judgemental, accepting environment.
Practice description
I currently work in Private Practice in Ashton on Mersey, Sale, Manchester, M33
I am also based within a local Secondary school supporting staff and students.
My approach is Integrative. This means that I draw upon different approaches which allows me to offer you an individual service, after all we are all unique individuals and one size doesn’t fit all.
I have experience of working with people from all walks of life and a variety of different issues including;
Anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, low mood, stress, grief, low self-esteem/confidence, women's issues, difficult and traumatic birth issues amongst other challenges.
Birth reflection sessions
I also offer one off birth reflection sessions.
A birth reflection session gives you or your partner the opportunity to talk about your birth story in a safe, confidential, non judgemental environment.
I provide therapeutic, emotional support to women, men and parents who may have experienced trauma after childbirth. This could be months or even years after the event.
This one-off session will allow you to reflect and explore your thoughts and feelings related to the birth. This can help you to gain clarity and insight.
Through lived experience I know how important it is to be heard. My aim is for you to feel listened to, understood and supported while navigating through your birth story. Please contact me for more information.
My first session
It really is important that you find the right therapist to suit your needs. I offer a free, 15 minute telephone consultation where you can find out how we will work together, ask any questions and discuss what you would like to achieve from our sessions together.
If you have any questions, send me an email or give me a call.
