About me and my therapy practice

I am a Relate trained counsellor with almost 30 years of experience. I specialise in helping and supporting couples and individuals with relationship issues such as communication difficulties; conflict and arguments; recovering from affairs and parenting challenges to name but a few.

I also offer counselling to adults and young people for anger management; stress and anxiety; bereavement; work issues; life events and life transitions.

I work as a counsellor for several organisations, helping people with workplace difficulties such as bullying, stress, trauma, colleague relationships and work demands.

I understand how difficult it can be sometimes to discuss personal issues and so I offer a confidential, friendly and non- judgmental way of working which can be at the pace you are comfortable with. I can work with a short or long term focus depending on what you find useful.

I work in private practice at Westlakes Science Park just outside Whitehaven in a comfortable discreet office.

My approach is integrative, using psychodynamic, systemic and transactional analysis theories.
