About me and my therapy practice

I know it can be daunting to start therapy, especially if you’re used to bottling things up, or find it hard to trust another. I know what that’s like, as I was once where you are, long before I became a professional therapist.

As an experienced and compassionate therapist, I work with clients struggling with life challenges and poor mental health. Whatever it is that’s brought you here, I can offer you the space, where you will be free from judgement, to move forward.

I will accompany you on your journey, as you explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings. I will listen, understand and gently challenge, enabling you to reflect. I may highlight patterns or offer interpretations, to enable you to see things from a different perspective or create new meaning. I have seen, as clients learn more about themselves, they get closer to their true self to live a more fulfilling life.

Practice description

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to work in a way that suits you best. My specific approach will be led by your needs in the moment. I offer in person sessions in Shoreditch and Mile End and remote sessions via zoom.

As well as my private practice I work as the clinical lead for the counselling service of a major record company supporting musicians with their mental health. 

My first session

Following a brief initial call, we will arrange to meet for an initial session which lasts for 50 minutes. It’s a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy now and your hopes. We can discuss how therapy could work for you. You can find out a bit more about how I work to see if I am the right therapist for you. If at the end of the session we decide to continue, we will then agree some general terms

You don’t understand why you feel like this and you want things to be different. I can give you the space to explore this and make sense of your feelings and experiences to live a better life.

Together we will explore the things that are troubling you the most – whether they’re from the past or the present. Therapy will allow you to get to know yourself, your relationships and experiences a bit better. I have found as clients learn more about themselves, they get closer to their true self and feel empowered to make the changes right for them.
